Known for their humorous, family-friendly banter, and passion for saving architectural history from the landfill, Black Dog Salvage’s Mike Whiteside and Tay Whiteside, along with the rare Robert Kulp sighting, recap each action-packed episode of the show, remembering off-camera moments as they give you a behind the scenes look into how each episode came to be! Additionally, the dawgs hope to answer YOUR questions in each episode so be sure to drop them a line on social media or in the comments of the video version of the podcast on the black dog salvage YouTube channel.     I found your show on Discovery + May 2023. I binged all the episodes in a couple weeks and then I found your podcast. LOVE IT!! I love the reboot giving the history of Mike and the beginning of Black dog. I found it interesting to know the genesis. Y’all remind me of a few friends I have. I laugh and call my husband to come watch… or call a friend to tell them to watch or listen. Please keep it up. I’m on #2 on the reboot, and look forward to the rest. Will look for your YouTube channel. I so enjoy the off the cuff banter. Keep ‘em coming.

    Fun and informative
    I was really disappointed when the forts version of the Black Dog Salvage Podcast disappeared so quickly, but was thrilled to see that the Whitesides have resurrected it. Great fun, and you might learn a little along the way.

    I own and operate a shop called the Whatchamacall It Shop. We build all kinds of specialty cabinets and furniture. I throughly loved the TV show (acquired a few ideas from y’all). Always got tickled at the banter and wished Robert would loosen up a bit. I share your Naval service. Navy Corpsman / 8404 and Hospital corpsman.     If you liked the show, you’ll love the podcast. Pour yourself a libation and sit back. It’ll feel like you’re hanging out with the guys as they reminisce. It’s great hearing the “behind the scenes” and backstories from each job. I really enjoy how conversational it is, especially when they go off down rabbit holes. Very entertaining and engaging.     Love that you guys are back. Really authentic behind the scenes look at each episode of the show. I give each episode a watch on discovery+ streaming to help add context and visualize what they are talking about before I listen each week but any fan of the show will love to hear Tay n Mike talking

    I appreciate Mike and Tay’s authenticity and mutual respect. The show was always interesting and entertaining, and continuing the conversations keeps the subject curiosity alive. Mike is my age and his style and humor reminds me of listening to really fun friends from my hometown sitting around telling stories.

    I was a big fan of the show. At first it was because of the interest salvage and stories behind it that drew me in. Then in became the people who were the hosts of the show. Down to earth, say it like is, good people. Happy to continue listening to them via a podcast.

    If you loved the Salvage Dawgs tv show, you’re going to love this podcast. If you’ve never seen the show, but love creating - especially with architectural salvage, you’ll still love this show. You can really feel how much Mike and Robert, and crew, really loved the old architecture, and didn’t want to see it lost forever.

    I loved watching Salvage Dawgs and was sad when it went of the air. Now with the podcast I can hear them again talk about their business and what they are currently up to. Along with that there are interesting guests on the show. It is fun to listen to the inter-action between the hosts and the guests.

    If you loved the NPR radio show, Car Talk, then you will love the Black Dog Salvage Podcast! It is like Car Talk but instead of cars it’s salvage. The banter amongst the guys is natural and witty, and is peppered with interesting facts and tips. Loving this and can’t wait for more!
